Clare Vincent Starrett was born in Monaca in 1889. He joined the rmy in World War One and then came home to graduate from the University of Pittsburgh. He married Agnes Lynch and went to work for Ketchum, McLeod and Grove. In 1933, he assisted in directing the Buhl Foundation.
